It is one of the few Mexican restaurants in the area that I really look forward to visiting again. I will definitely look for Poquito Mas in the future when we are visiting. I understand this is a mini chain with a few locations around SoCal. Frankly, the food is good enough that if I lived nearby, I would get the food and go on a regular basis. Indoor seating is limited to about 14-16 people, and there is a patio outside with more seating. It is a counter service restaurant (order at the counter and they bring it to your table).

They served chips and salsa for free with our meals. You can get a great meal here for $10-12/person, including drinks, or less. I only wish they had coke products on tap as the diet cokes only came in small bottles. The salsa verde and an orange-ish sauce with a bit different taste that I thought were both particularly great, and there were the usual red sauces and pico available.Īnd don't miss the drinks! The fruit-waters were terrific and they had horchata and other Mexican drinks available. The corn and flour tortillas all appeared freshly hand made, and tasted that way as well. The tostada that my daughter tried looked terrific - more like a taco salad in a fried tortilla bowl. The burritos also offered large portions, though seemed a bit smaller to me compared to burritos you can get elsewhere, though there are no rice/bean fillers in these! These were packed with meat with guacamole inside at no extra charge). I can usually eat 4-5 street tacos because of their size, but these were so loaded with meat that after 3 I was all but done. The pork and chicken were particularly good IMHO. The street tacos are baja style and were loaded with high quality, great tasting proteins. We had a large party that tried a number of the dishes - street tacos, classic tacos, tostadas, burritos, quesadillas, etc. of these restaurants are worth coming back to - there is always another decent place not far away. California has a lot of good Mexican food, very few. We stopped by Poquito Mas after a day at Disney with the family and I was completely blown away by the quality of food for the price (I am a bang-for-the buck guy!).
